Keep 5G NSA Active

Hey guys, Just checking my NetMonster app and it for most of the time says that 5G NSA is disabled. Is there any way to keep it active to get better speeds?

Also, is there a way to see the 5G NSA frequency on a Samsung S24 Ultra, with the app?

As 5G NSA requires a 4G connection for signalling, maintaining both connections consumes more power than the 4G connection on its own. To save power, most phones only establish the 5G carrier while downloading/upload data and drop the 5G carrier after a certain period of idle time. Some phones also have the option to disable 5G altogether once the battery falls below a certain charge level.

If NetMonster does not show the the 5G frequency while the 5G connection is active, then the phone's API is not providing it. You can dial *#0011# to see if the phone's own diagnostics shows the NR band / frequency. Unfortunately, there is no workaround, at least without rooting the phone. I have a similar issue with the OnePlus Nord 2T where NetMonster or other cell monitoring Apps are unable to show aggregated carriers or neighbour cells when the phone has a 4G+ connection.
