Three Network Compatibility 3g,4g,5g
#1
Question
Just wondering if there is any major holes in the connectivity below for Ireland? Specifically Three, 3G, 4G and 5G as will be using in a mix or rural and urban areas in Cork.
It's for a CN Oneplus 9 Pro Phone from a shop I have used a few times before so trust the seller, just looking to check if I missed anything.
The Official OnePlus site doesn't currently certify and Irish carriers for 5G

Thanks in advance for any insight.

One concern I have is with the following Thread on Three's forum mentioning that people had to install the European OnePlus OS for their OnePlus 8 to connect on Three's 5G network, so I'm not sure if this is also the case with the OnePlus 9.

The only thing I can confirm is that this phone supports all the cellular bands Three is currently using - 900/2100MHz on 3G, 700/800/1800/2100MHz (bands 28, 20, 3 and 1) on 4G and 1800/3600 (bands n3 and n78) on 5G.

Yeah, I think I'll take the plunge. I don't like Samsung Phones, can't wait for the Pixel 6 and €1400 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max + needing a charger on top of that is just too much.

It should come flashed with the correct OS version and not rooted so will give it a shot for that money. Will post how I get on.
Thanks for quick reply

Ordered 27/5 and received 8/6 after less than 2 weeks. No issues with the fact it was the Chinese version. The charger ( us / china pins ) and supplied adapter are actually quite neat and not too bulky / heavy.

Came flashed and it took the OTA upgrade it found on startup.
Total cost including shipping insurance was 809. Over 200e cheaper than oneplus website

Still need to test 5g as was waiting on sim. But all other reception on three very good in rural and urban areas around cork.

Actually don't have a single bad thing to say about the phone. V impressed with the cameras, the fast charge and the display / responsiveness/ feel in the hand.

That was a great saving and glad to hear your phone made it safely and works well. Cool

You also did well with the timing with the closure of eGlobal Central EU.

Going by Three's 5G enabled phone list, it includes the OnePlus 9 Pro, so hopefully the Chinese version will work. Good luck with the testing. Smile
