Hi Sean,
Like others, this is the only available place to find seemingly useful feedback/assistance with the Tenda devices so I created an account in the hopes that you (or someone else) could help me too.
Here's a rough sketch of my setup (please excuse my crude drawing and the mistyping):

Our internet package says we should have speeds up to 250mbps and it's very noticeable in other areas of the house that have these lower speeds. Hence, I'm trying to improve the setup.
The PRIMARY node, KITCHEN node (wirelessly connected) and ROOM 1 node are all downstairs. The primary node is connected and in a server rack behind some thick walls, only able to connect to the KITCHEN node wirelessly. Upstairs are nodes for ROOM 2, ROOM 3 and ROOM 4.
Previously, the secondary nodes were connected from the wall socket -> WAN/LAN port but I changed that based on this thread. However, that didn't seem to help much.
I'm not sure if the only issue is that phones/laptops don't reliably connect to the 5GHz band or if there's something else that can be done to improve things - whether a change to the physical setup or a change in the app setup. I also have it set to bridge mode on the app and they are all updated to the latest firmware.
Please let me know if there's any other info that might help with suggestions or if you have any suggestions at all! Appreciate the help you've provided with your other replies either way.
Regards,
Justin.
