How to set up Tenda Nova mesh for wired backhaul - MW5, MW6, etc.

Option 1 - Disconnect the 16-port switch from the router and connect the switch to the LAN of the first Tenda box, i.e. so the WAN of this Tenda node goes to your router and the LAN goes to the switch.

Option 2 - If the Tenda mesh is configured in "Bridged" mode, connect the LAN port of the first node to the router instead of the WAN port.  I.e. leave the WAN port empty.  It will automatically detect and use the Internet from the LAN side.

With either option above, you can then connect the individual Tenda node LAN sockets to the wall sockets and the devices to the WAN socket of the Tenda nodes.  Basically, the wired backhaul takes place between the LAN of the primary node and the LAN of the secondary nodes.

For example, with Option #1, the nodes would be wired as follows:

Tenda Primary node:
[WAN] -> Router
[LAN] -> 16 port switch

Tenda secondary (nodes 2-6)
[WAN] -> Wired device
[LAN] -> Wall socket

Thank you Sean
i hope i can make this work
Thank you so much for your kind help  here
thank you
