How to set up Tenda Nova mesh for wired backhaul - MW5, MW6, etc.

The Tenda Nova nodes support wired Ethernet backhaul, which allows the secondary nodes to extend the Wi-Fi without consuming wireless bandwidth back to the primary mode.  This is particularly useful where the nodes are separated by thick walls or down a long corridor where the Wi-Fi of the primary node does not reach.  [...]

Hi Sean -  thank you for this information
I hope you can help me
i have just installed 6 tenda mw6 boxes in my house

I am based in the UK
I have Sky broadband
I have connected the first box to my router directly - and then set up each of the 5 boxes wirelessly
this is all working well

my home setup is as follows with ethernet cables

From the Sky router - I have a cable that goes into a 16-port switch
from the switch, it goes out to the rooms across my house

My question is - can i connect the MW6 box in the room where an ethernet cable that is plugged into the switch, directly into the WAN port of the Box AND then from the LAN port of the box directly into a computer, etc, etc

Your diagram suggests that i CANNOT do this

With my setup the way it is - what could you suggest to me?

i hope this question makes sense
as you can tell im not very technically minded

Hear from you soon - all the best
Alpesh
