I tried to port my number (48) to sky. No issues with 48, but as I already have three for my BB I wanted to have my phone with vodafone network just to diversify 
Lot's of teething issues. I was looking to get an eSIM for convenience but my order got automatically cancelled and can't process new orders as I'm redirected to their phone line. I processed a new order over their phone that got cancelled after 10 minutes.
I checked on boards and many ppl reporting issues since last week. wary to port my main number (whatsapp / online banking etc) to be honest, the technical support team hasn't been very helpful so far.
If you're planning on porting your main number perhaps you should consider waiting until things settle.
