Note that there seems to be an original and version-2 available.
I'm not sure what the differences between them are.
Mine is a V2 (CB0401V2).
The unit is very stable, even with uptime of more than two weeks.
My old Huawei 5G CPE Pro 3 used to do a full reboot 24 hours
after power-up and every 24 hours after that. This could be really
disruptive for VOIP calls.
The Xiaomi seems to stay up indefinitely. I haven't seen a single
reboot without my intervention. I have unplugged it a few times
to swap SIMs or to test it in a different location.
It does get a new IP address from Vodafone every 48 hours.
So far, this hasn't caused any disruption.
Anyway, I'm still happy with it and I would buy another one.
I live in the City with strong N78 5G from all of the networks.
The Xiaomi might not be so good in a rural location. It has
no external aerial connectors.
The system logs say the modem is:
option version 'RG520NEBDCR03A04M4G_XM'
option endpoint 'pcie'
option band_list_5G '1,3,7,20,28,38,75,77,78'
option band_list_4G '1,3,7,8,20,28,32,38'
option lte_band '1,3,7,8,20,28,32,38'
option sa_band '1,3,7,20,28,38,75,77,78'
option nsa_band '1,3,7,28,38,75,77,78'
Give a shout if you have any other questions.
Thanks for the update. I also have a Huawei CPE Pro 3, however it lacks basic features (cell locking) plus my unit has 10 different antennas. The xiaomi is good value for the money, I'd need to investigate the antennae as I'd need an external antenna regardless (rural area)
Thanks again
